Fanatec DD1 Wheel - Spins and no FFB - Help!

My DD1, purchased Mid December 2020, no longer has force feedback, and upon start up slowly spins and accelerates with out changing direction for 10 or so seconds before stopping.
I have removed all drivers, uninstalled, and reinstalled both current and prior versions of the software. None of these solve the problem.
Additionally when I attempt to update the wheel to the latest, it seems to work, but fails with a Connect Device Failed(Error: Initial ping failure...

Reinstall of windows did not resolve the issue either.
